On Your Site

A more considered way to find a builder

Hi, I'm Lennart.

On Your Site grew out of several building projects of our own, and years of comparing honest notes with friends and relatives about theirs.

Finding builders isn't difficult. Finding reliable builders is.

From real building projects to a trusted network.

A simple hand-drawn line connecting recommendations between homes

After completing several building projects ourselves, we spent a great deal of time speaking with friends and relatives about their own experiences.

The stories were inevitably mixed. We heard about stressful projects, costly delays and poor communication, but also about great successes: construction companies that did excellent work, kept people informed and made a difficult process feel manageable.

As those conversations continued, we realised we had a growing list of companies we felt were genuinely worth recommending, each grounded in a good experience shared by someone we trusted. That informal network seeded the idea for On Your Site.

We are now expanding it into a professional UK-wide network of construction partners, while keeping the principle that made those first recommendations valuable: looking carefully at reliability, communication, workmanship and fit.

The right company for the right project.

We listen first

Every extension is different. We start with where you are, what you hope to build and what matters most to you.

02

We consider the fit

We look at relevant experience, reputation and the evidence of how a company works, not simply how its finished projects photograph.

03

We make an introduction

We connect you with suitable construction partners so you can speak directly, ask the right questions and make your own informed choice.

Choose your builder carefully.

A good builder does more than deliver quality work. They communicate clearly, turn up when they say they will, keep you informed when things change and help solve problems when they inevitably arise. That was the biggest lesson from my own projects, and it sits at the heart of On Your Site.

Tell me a little about your project. I'd be delighted to help you think through the next step and which construction companies may be suitable.
