Privacy notice
Last updated 25 September 2026
On Your Site helps homeowners connect with suitable construction companies. This notice explains how we use personal information when you visit our website, scan one of our project QR codes, contact us by email or WhatsApp, or ask us to help with a building project.
Who is responsible for your information
On Your Site is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. You can contact Lennart at [email protected] with questions, requests or complaints about how your information is used.
Information we collect
- Your name, phone number, email address and WhatsApp profile information.
- The messages and project details you choose to share with us.
- A project reference associated with a QR code, so we can connect your enquiry with the relevant planning application without asking you to repeat information.
- Basic technical and security information generated when you use our website or messaging service.
How and why we use it
We use this information to respond to enquiries, understand the project you are contacting us about, identify potentially suitable construction companies, make introductions you request, maintain our records, protect our services and comply with legal obligations.
Our lawful bases are taking steps at your request before providing a service, our legitimate interests in operating and improving On Your Site and responding effectively to enquiries, and legal obligations where they apply. We do not use solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
Who we share it with
We use trusted service providers for website hosting, communications and business administration, including Meta and WhatsApp when you contact us through WhatsApp. We may share relevant project and contact information with a construction company when you ask us to make an introduction. We do not sell personal information.
Some providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we rely on the provider's applicable safeguards and contractual protections.
How long we keep it
We keep information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the enquiry, project, service, record-keeping or legal purpose for which it was collected. Routine enquiry and messaging records are normally reviewed for deletion after 24 months, unless a relationship is ongoing or a longer period is reasonably required.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your information, and to receive a portable copy. You may also withdraw consent where consent is the basis we rely on.
You can object at any time to processing based on legitimate interests and to any use of your information for direct marketing. Email [email protected] and we will review and act on your request.
Complaints and updates
Please contact us first if you have a concern so we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
We may update this notice as our service develops. The latest version will always appear on this page.
